Make Ready with Matt Little: Pistol Skill Fundamentals
The fundamentals are the most important aspect of pistol skills. In this video, Matt Little reviews pistol types and nomenclature, equipment and holsters, structure, drawing and reholstering with appendix carry and outside the waistband carry, reloads with appendix carry and outside the waistband carry, and eight drills including One-Reload-One, Three Triggers Drill, Group Shooting Drill, Two on Two Transition Drill, Number of the Beast Drill, Predictive Pairs, and more. Matt retired as the training coordinator and an operational supervisor on a major metropolitan SWAT team and is a US Army Special Forces combat veteran with decades of operational, instructional, and training experience in firearms, tactics, and combatives. Matt is also a lifelong martial artist and former nationally ranked competitor. He is ranked as a grand master class shooter by the US Practical Shooting Association, and a master class shooter by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association and the International Defensive Pistol Association. Matt has instructed police and military personnel in the U.S. and abroad, and has taught firearms, self-defense and martial arts extensively to civilians. He has written articles on training and tactics for nationally syndicated magazines, and has published his first book, “The Way is in Training.”
